Formed in the early seventies by legendary musician and songwriter Ronnie Lane, who had been the driving force behind both the Small Faces and the Faces, Slim Chance was an opportunity for Ronnie to pursue his own unique musical vision. After leaving The Faces in 1973, the iconic bassist organised an ambitious tour dubbed the ‘Passing Show’ that included a travelling circus complete with jugglers, clowns and animals, which he billed as Ronnie Lane's Slim Chance.

Following the release of the BBC film ‘The Passing Show’, a 2004 concert at the Albert Hall with Pete Townshend and Paul Weller celebrating Ronnie’s life, and, more recently the re-release of classic material by Island/Universal Records, there has been a significant resurgence of interest in both Ronnie Lane and the band Slim Chance.

The six piece line-up, known for their pioneering use of fiddles, mandolin and accordion, features original members Steve Bingham, Charlie Hart and Steve Simpson. A barnstorming folk-rock band who are all fine singers, musicians and showmen, playing an amazing array of instruments, Slim Chance have forged a reputation as one of the finest live acts in the country, playing everywhere from the Albert Hall to Glastonbury.
